Writing prompt No. 13

A weekly writing exercise to get you started

Use these bare-bones lines of dialogue to create a scene between two people. Add setting, characters’ thoughts and actions to fill in the gaps.

“Are you ready?”
“Yes.”
“You’re sure?”
“Yes.”
“You’re not saying much.”
“There’s no need.”
“You don’t have to come.”
“I do. And you know it.”
