Use a song title as a title for your next story or poem. Consider: “Over the Rainbow,” “Unforgettable,” “No More Mr. Nice Guy,” “Taking a Chance on Love” or “Invincible.” Or pick another song title that inspires you.

Heather Wright's work has been published in local and national publications and on the Web. Her column “Write Angles,” published in What If? Canada’s Creative Magazine for Teens, became the basis of her book, Writing Fiction: A Hands-On Guide for Teens.

At a spoken word performance one of the poets used the chorus of a song to set the tone for a piece she created around the those words sharing a personal experience unrelated to the verses. The audience joined in on the chorus. Amazing connection. Moving shared experience.
