The Writer wins its fifth Eddie Award

Published: November 7, 2006
The Writer received a 2006 silver Eddie Award for Editorial Excellence, presented by Folio magazine. This is the fifth consecutive year that The Writer has received an Eddie. Winners of the 2006 awards were announced Oct. 22 at the Folio Show Awards Gala in New York City.

Entrants to the prestigious annual competition are scored by a panel of top editors, publishers and consultants on the following criteria: 1) how well the magazine fulfills its mission statement; 2) the quality of the magazine's content; and 3) how the overall design and production supports the magazine's mission.

Other winners in this year's publishing/journalism category were Billboard (gold) and Written By (bronze). Click here to see complete list of the 2006 Eddie and Ozzie Award winners.

It's gratifying to see our efforts recognized each year by our peers in the publishing business. The Writer has received four other Eddies since 2001: gold awards in 2002 and 2004, a silver award in 2005, and a bronze award in 2003. The Writer also received a silver Ozzie Award for best redesign in 2001.
