Congratulations to the 2009 Short-Story Contest winners!

We're pleased to announce the winners of The Writer's 2009 short-story contest:
• First place: "The Trip to Goodbye" by Douglas Crago of Highlands Ranch, Colo.
• Second place: "Eleven Days" by Jana Ambrose of Newark, Del.
• Third place: "Mama's Man" by Yvonne Nelson Perry of Bonita, Calif.
Crago's story will appear in the February 2010 issue of The Writer, which comes out in early January. All three stories will be posted online at that time.
