Death Takes a Credit Card, hmmm seems like a good book to read on the plane. I was flying accross country to San Francisco. I had never been there before and I wanted to see the sights. The book was about cold blooded killer, a double agent for the CIA and the KGB. He was an expert at what he did. He was a master of disguise and spoke fluent Russian.
One moment I was reading and next I was dreaming. I was dreaming that I was I was Claud Jenkins agent for the CIA. My job was to take down a double agent that was trading secrets with the KGB. I had finnally caught up with my fellow CIA agent and I could tell that though he had known me for many years that he was very suspicious of my mission. We had a few drinks together and I slipped him a micky. As we shared another drink I could see he was getting very woozy. I suggested we leave. I put my arm around him and walked together outside. We were passing an alley when I reached for his weapon and in one swift movement he turns the tables on me, we strugle. "Wake up Claud did you think I was going to let you get the drop on me?" The next thing I know he pulls his gun and as we fight the gun falls to the ground then all of a sudden he pulls a credit card and slices my throat. "Wake up Mr.Jenkins, we're ready to land.

Just a Dollar

“What do you want for Christmas?”
My ten year old brother asked me.
“Just a Dollar,” was my reply.
He walked away, staring strangely.

“What do you want for Christmas?”
Mother asked in her sweet way.
“Just a Dollar,” I said dreamily.
She walked away with a knowing smile.

“What do you want for Christmas?”
Asked father with a jolly grin.
“Just a Dollar,” Said I, blushing.
He winked at me.

“What do you want for Christmas?”
The voice sent my heart thumping.
“Just you!” I cried joyously.
And my fiancé, James Dollar, kissed me.

Just a Dollar

Just a dollar won't go far
Inflation has swallowed the value
Leaving it worthy of very little
A senior coffee at McDonalds
Four hours at a parking meter
A cheap donation to a cause
Like the Salvation Army kettle
It will busy a vet's red paper rose
A game app for the I pad 2
A single turn of the slot machine
A frown from a homeless man
I'll bet you a dollar between friends
Just a dollar no longer buys
A movie ticket or city bus ride
A cup of coffee or hot chocolate
A pony ride or loaf of bread
The dollar's gone the way of my youth
