Writing prompt No. 39

A weekly writing exercise to get you started

Write a story that precedes one of these closing lines (alternatively, use one of these as your story’s opening line):
I had nothing left but thanks.
Sunsets will never be the same again.
Kisses are just the beginning.
Yup. Typical Michael (or name of your choice).
