Think of a sound that isn't around anymore: the click of typewriter keys, the tone that played during the test pattern on 1950s TVs, the sound of the dial turning on a telephone, the theme of an old TV or radio program, the sound of a former pet's paws on the hardwood floor, the sound of the doorbell of a house you used to live in. What memories do those sounds conjure up? What rooms or people do you see?
