Monroe and other poets such as Ezra Pound were the first to introduce modernist poetry to America. If you asked a poet to choose a single magazine where he or she wanted to publish, in most cases Poetry would be the response. The Chicago magazine has broadened its scope in recent years with the creation of an expansive Internet site. Editor Christian Wiman agreed to answer questions for a brief interview by e-mail. |
