Prairie Fire Contests

Accepting entries for the Banff Centre Bliss Carman Poetry Award and Short Fiction and Creative Non-Fiction Contests. Fiction entries should be one story of up to 10,000 words; creative nonfiction is one article up to 5,000 words. One poetry entry can be one, two or three poems with a total max of 150 lines.

Tom Howard/Margaret Reid Poetry Contest

Sponsored by Tom Howard Books, the contest is open for poems in any style or theme. The Margaret Reid Prize awards poems with regular meter and/or rhyme or is written in a recognized poetic form. The Tom Howard Prize is given to the best poem of any style.

Brittingham and Pollak Poetry Prize

Robert Watson Literary Prizes
