Read these 2019 Nebula award-winning authors

Last night the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America announced the winners of the 2019 Nebula Awards. Here are four of the winners to add to your TBR pile.

Best Novella: The Tea Master and the Detective by Aliette de Bodard

Exiled scholars and powerful families hold court on the Scattered Pearls Belt, where virtual reality seamlessly mixes with real life. Here scholar Long Chau teams up with a transport ship-turned-drug-brewer The Shadow’s Child to solve a murder – and they discover some unexpected secrets in the process. Author Aliette de Bodard has also written the Obsidian and Blood trilogy in addition to Nebula Award-winning short stories. “The story works as well as both science fiction and murder mystery, exploring a future where pride, guilt, and mercy are not solely the province of humans,” writes Publishers Weekly.
