Good news for voracious readers: Kindles, Audible, and Kindle Unlimited are all discounted for Prime Day.

Whether you’re headed on vacation, on book tour, or out to a long-term residency, e-readers are essential for authors on-the-go. If you’re looking to upgrade your e-reader (or buy your very first one), here are the top deals on Amazon’s Kindle line.

(Confused whether to spring for the Paperwhite or stick with the standard Kindle? In a nutshell, both models are very similar, but the Paperwhite offers a 300 pixel-per-inch display that produces crisper, more organic-looking text than the Kindle’s 167 pixel-per-inch display. The Paperwhite is also water resistant, has more storage, and comes with cellular service and Wi-Fi connectability (whereas the standard Kindle only has WiFi.)

Serious e-readers may want to take a look at the deals on the Oasis, Amazon’s top-end Kindle, which boasts a larger screen, physical page turn buttons, and a brighter lighting scheme than the Paperwhite.

All Prime Day Kindle purchases come with a $5 e-book credit.

Fire Tablets

If you’d rather do your e-reading on a device that lets you answer emails, craft documents, and revise on the go, a Fire Tablet may be more up your alley. Amazon is offering 40% off on the Fire 7 tablet with an additional “buy two, save an additional $10” deal.

Kindle Unlimited

The perfect thing to pair with your Kindle purchase is a free three-month trial with Kindle Unlimited, which offers unlimited access to more than 1 million e-books and magazines. After the trial ends, monthly access continues for just $9.99 a month.

Audible subscriptions

If you’d rather listen to books on the go than read them on a Kindle, an Audible subscription is an ideal investment. Amazon Prime members can get 66% off a three-month Audible subscription for a limited time.

In addition to all of these larger deals, Amazon is offering Prime Day deals on both e-books and print books. Stay tuned for our top picks in both categories.
