Heart-Shaped Box by Joe Hill
Who knew writing best-selling horror ran in the family? Joe Hill is the second son of Stephen King, and he’s made quite a name for himself in the genre. His debut novel, Heart-Shaped Box, was published in 2007 and won the Bram Stoker Award for Best First Novel and the Sydney J. Bounds Best Newcomer Award. He’s gone on to publish a number of anthologized short stories, best-selling horror novels, and award-winning comics. And continuing our trend of novels-turned-Hollywood-adaptations, three of Hill’s works are currently in production for a 2019 release.
