Where the Crawdads Sing was the top-selling book of 2019, besting two megapopular memoirs, Becoming by Michelle Obama (No. 2) and Educated by Tara Westover (#3), to take the top spot on the Amazon 100 (though not without controversy). But controversy be damned, the book – first published in 2018 –continues to sell outrageously well in 2020, thanks in part due to an upcoming film adaptation in the works from Reese Witherspoon’s “Hello Sunshine” production company.
