Black Leopard, Red Wolf by Marlon James (February 5)

Marlon James won the Man Booker Prize and the American Book Award for his best-selling novel A Brief History of Seven Killings. He returns to the publishing circuit with an ambitious new project, the first part of a planned “Dark Star” trilogy that Neil Gaiman calls “a fantasy world as well-realized as anything Tolkien made.”

Expect Hollywood to come calling for this James’ series immediately: “If this first volume is any indication, James’ trilogy could become one of the most talked-about and influential adventure epics since George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire was transformed into Game of Thrones,” writes Kirkus in a starred review.
