The Turn of the Screw by Henry James (January 24)

In theaters January 24

Henry James’ classic gothic horror novella The Turn of the Screw gets a big-screen adaptation at the end of January, albeit renamed as The Turning. Mackenzie Davis (Halt and Catch Fire, Blade Runner 2049) stars as Kate, the troubled young governess sent to care for Miles (Finn Wolfhard from Stranger Things) and Flora (Brooklyn Prince from The Florida Project). The Turning isn’t the only literary adaptation Davis is set to headline in 2020: She’s also set to star in the Station Eleven television mini-series on HBO.
