It’s countdown season here at The Writer: We’ve already named our favorite writing books of the year, our most popular prompts published this year, and tomorrow we’ll share our editors’ personal favorite articles of 2018. Today, however, we’re focusing on the popular vote. Which articles spoke most to our readers? Which got the most shares, attention, and eyeballs? The results, presented here in descending order, are a well-rounded blend of essays, how-to articles, and lists that resonated with readers this year.
Is your favorite article not on the list? Share your own personal favorites on Twitter using the hashtag #TheWriterTop10.
(Note: We limited our research to articles published to our site in 2018, though the articles may have appeared in a non-2018 print issue.)
