2011 was a pretty good year to be Jennifer Egan. A Visit from the Goon Squad was published in March and went on to win the Pulitzer and the National Book Critics Circle Award. A finalist for the PEN/Faulkner Award, it landed on Best Books of the Year lists from the Boston Globe, Chicago Tribune, Publishers Weekly, Time, and the Washington Post. “Like a masterful album, this one demands a replay,” wrote the San Francisco Chronicle.
