A picture of Hope and Other Punch Lines’ protagonist, Abbi Hope Goldstein, was taken on September 11, 2001 that later became famous: Known as “Baby Hope,” baby Abbi wears a birthday crown and holds a balloon – but in the background, the South Tower is seen falling to the ground. Fast forward 15 years, and Abbi decides to team up with her co-worker Noah to uncover the history of the now-iconic photo. Kirkus calls it “a valuable addition to the growing body of 9/11-related teen literature – one that will be especially appealing to teens today.”
