Next on our world tour is Kyoto, where I Love You So Mochi‘s main character Kimi Nakamura is headed for spring break after a nasty fight with her mother over Kimi’s future. Kimi relishes spending time exploring Japan and getting to know her estranged grandparents – along with a cute future med student who spends his free time dressing up as a giant mochi mascot for his uncle’s mochi business. But she also learns a great deal about her mother over the course of her visit – and learns about herself, too.
“Strong characters and a story with real depth make this a worthy read,” writes Kirkus. “Readers will love this teen rom-com so mochi.”
