Description

Whether you are writing fiction, nonfiction or screenplays, the Big Story Writers Conference is uniquely focused to help you develop your plot into a BIG STORY with the potential to become a bestseller or box office success. Learn how to master your skills through hands-on workshops, seminars and lectures that guide them through the creative and developmental process of authoring a solid manuscript.

This educational and inspirational conference emphasizes creative writing – with an edge of business-savvy, and will include more than 40 speakers, veteran educators, industry experts, publishing professionals, literary agents, publishers and best-selling authors who will speak on a targeted field of topics.

Attendees have a choice of tracks for fiction, nonfiction, and screenplay, and may attend any topic at any time (except for the Masters Workshops). Topics will include: defining your story, fine-tuning the structure, story development, creating memorable well-developed characters, plotting and pacing, world-building, creating tension and raising the stakes, and polishing the manuscript for the right target market and success.

Additional business workshops will cover how to compose a solid book proposal, synopsis, screen treatment, as well as how to write a great query letter that reflects the author’s voice, expertise and passion to attract the interest of agents, publishers and studios. Writers of all levels and genres will benefit. What’s your story?
