Description
The 40th annual Southampton Writers Conference will be held from July 8 to 19 in the coveted resort destination of the Hamptons. Only 90 miles east of NYC, overlooking the ocean, the conference includes evening events, receptions, and the Roger Rosenblatt lecture/interview series with high-profile writers.
Ready to take your writing to the next level? We offer workshops in poetry, fiction and nonfiction. Our faculty includes poets Billy Collins and Vijay Seshadri; fiction writers Melissa Bank, Ursula Hegi, and Meg Wolitzer; nonfiction writer Matthew Klam; and more.
Got a manuscript you need to finish and need some time away? Join our 12-day Residency in the Hamptons. Attend as many morning and evening events as you like and use the rest of the time to write.
To apply for workshops:
-Submit 10 pages of poetry or 10 to 20 pages of prose, and a writer’s statement.
-Scholarships available to deserving applicants.
-Scholarship deadline: March 15
