Description

The Texas Mountain Trail Writers hold a writing conference every year in the spring. This year we are proud to present the event yet again. We have three wonderful speakers who will be speaking on fiction, nonfiction, and nut-and-bolts topics. See our website at www.texasmountaintrailwriters.org for more details.

This conference starts Friday evening the 11th with a reception in Alpine and then moves to Fort Davis Mountain Lodge for sessions with our speakers on Saturday and Sunday. We have several sessions on Saturday and end with an opportunity to share a brief piece of writing with the group in the evening. Sunday is a half day of sessions and the end of the conference.

Attendees may choose to stay on site at the Davis Mountain Lodge (contact the lodge for reservations) or anywhere in the local area. There are a number of hotels and motels in nearby Alpine and Marfa.

The conference is located close to Big Bend National Park, Balmorhea State Park, Davis, the McDonald Observatory and many other local attractions. The surrounding mountains are inspiring.
