Description

Our 2015 Writing Competition is now accepting your best original work in Poetry, Fiction, and Nonfiction! The entry fee is $15 and one winner from each genre will receive a $500 cash prize along with publication in Issue 53 of Columbia: A Journal of Literature and Art.

We accept work in all genres and all styles, but it’s always best to familiarize yourself with our judges and the work from previous issues to get a better idea of the sort of work we like to publish. This year’s guest judges will be:

Fiction: Dewitt Henry
Nonfiction: Emily Bestler
Poetry: Beth Ann Fennelly

Fiction and nonfiction entries should not exceed 7500 words (or about 30 double spaced pages). Poetry entries may be up to 5 pages. Previously published work will not be considered for entry. US entries only. Deadline for submission is December 31, 2014
