Description
The popular ZenGarden.club contests continue with a new flower prompt and haiku each month. Hone your writing skills by writing a story of 350 words or less, inspired by our artistic, beautiful prompts. As one of our members told us, “Thanks for always encouraging me. I’m writing longer stories now and it all started with ZenGarden.”
Our new Fleur contest features a wonderful flower that has been celebrated for centuries as a much-beloved herald of spring – the violet.
Be inspired by myths and legends about the violet, its medicinal properties, and even its use as a secret military code! Read all our shortlisted stories from the past year of contests. Visit our Winners’ Pages. Create your own masterpiece, inspired by the shy, unassuming violet. You’ll be in good company on ZenGarden.club, where we are writing a better world, one flower at a time.
Our judge for this contest will be Sherry Torgent, publishing editor, writer, and published author, who will select the Grand Prize Winner and the list of Finalists. She will also provide commentary on the stories. There will be a public voting component to select three other winners, so there are two paths to winning!
Prizes include: $100 for Grand Prize, $25 for Public Voting 1st place, and a variety of publication venues. Both first place winners also win a free life-time subscription to ZenGarden.club. All shortlisted stories will be published on line, and will be eligible for inclusion in our series of Kindle books. Top winners get their own permanent Winners Page, which features all their winning stories, past, present and future.
