Description
The Herblock Award for Editorial Cartoon offers $1,000 scholarships for three students whose visual art offers commentary or criticism on current events, social events, or political topics. Drawing or illustration, series of artworks, or animated short films are eligible. To apply, submit your work to the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. When selecting the category of your work, choose “Editorial Cartoon”.
The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards are the nation’s longest-running, most prestigious recognition program for creative teens. Submissions for the 2021 Scholastic Awards open on September 1, 2020.
