£5.00 and we plant a tree in Bore, Kenya, for each entry. It also helps fund the build of an urgently needed classroom at Kundeni Primary School in the same community.
Last year, we planted 1,500 trees in the Word Forest.

The 5 winners and 5 shortlisters in each category are published in the "Magic Oxygen Literary Prize Anthology," and we also plant a tree for every copy sold.
Once the competition has closed, each entrant is sent a certificate with the GPS coordinates of his or her tree which can be viewed via a Google Maps link.
Short Stories, up to 4,000 words (not including the title)
Poetry up to 50 lines (not including title or lines between stanzas)
The theme is open. Electronic uploads are preferred but written entries are also accepted. The competition is open to writers all over the world. Entrants must be 16 or older at the time of submission. Entries must be written in English and must be your own previously unpublished work. You may enter as many pieces of writing as you wish
