The selected MURA Award author agrees their manuscript is original and will receive $300, publication by Harbor Mountain Press, forty copies of their book, and the company of Harbor Mountain's international authors and readership.
Description
Open to submissions of original work, 48-120 pages of poetry from August 1, 2018 – November 6, 2018. The winner will be announced in early Spring 2019.
Poetry is good food.
We are looking for poems that NEED to be. Poems that are vulnerable, emotional fragments, threads, something that says – like bird bones: OHMY—-! Poems that answer: does this help me survive?
We want to be moved. To feel the music. To gasp.
