NO ENTRY FEE
$100 First Place Cash Prize
The Santa Ana River Review Dramatic Works Contest will award a first-place prize of $100 to the writer judges feel best represents a new, exciting, and challenging voice in the world of performance writing. We will accept ten-minute works (12 pages or less) of any medium (play, screenplay, teleplay). Diverse writers–women, POC, LGBTQ–are especially encouraged to submit. Because this is print and not production, writers are encouraged to submit work that does not rely on a feasible budget or performable restrictions. Submit works of high imagination, rarely-told stories, fantastical journeys, or not-so-typical kitchen sink dramas.
The submission period for the Dramatic Works Contest will run from September 15- November 15, and all submitted works will be given full and serious consideration.
