We’re excited to announce that Solstice’s Spring ’22 Poetry Writing Contest is now open for entries.
All of Solstice’s contests are run in partnership with Kada’s Bookstore, and is for English-language poets who are currently pursuing an undergraduate degree at an accredited university.
This Season’s theme is Relationships. The dynamic human relationships between family, friends, partners, etc.
The Poetry Contest only accepts entries of poetry portfolios (3 – 10 poems per portfolio), as opposed to single-poem entries.
Entries cost $12 each. Up to 2 submissions will be accepted from a single poet. To enter, purchase a ‘Contest Entry Ticket’ from our online store. Then fill out the submission form and enter the order reference number, along with your submission as a PDF or word.doc, in the form below. Only entries with valid order reference numbers will be considered.
This Season’s theme is Relationships. How relationships involve social associations, or connections, between two or more people. How they vary in their degree of intimacy, in their duration, in their reciprocity, in their power distribution, and so on. How they vary from family relations, friendship, marriage, relations with associates, work, clubs, and neighborhoods. How they may be regulated by law or custom.
