Cosmopolitan Tongues Press is happy to announce the “Songs to Make the Desert Bear Fruit Contest.” The Contest begins June 21, 2014 at 12:00 pm EST and ends on December 21, 2014 at 12 pm EST EST. One grand prize winner will be selected from the eligible entrants and receive an Apple MacBook Air MD760LL/B 13.3-Inch Laptop.
The book Songs to Make the Desert Bear Fruit explores a variety of themes. However, one of the most essential ideas in the book is that despite our unique paths, life-to-life dialogues and encounters with other people have the power to transform how we see the world and our place in it.
To enter the contest, please either write or record a video of your response to one of the following two questions:
1a) Have you ever had a dialogue or encounter with another person that fundamentally changed the way you see the world, including your place in it? If so, please tell us about it.
1b) After reading the book, what does the title “Songs to Make the Desert Bear Fruit” mean to you personally?
All entries, whether written or video recorded, will be judged on the basis of originality, depth of thought, and effectiveness of argument or presentation. While there is no fee to enter the Contest, there are some rules and regulations you must follow in order for your entry to be eligible.
