Entry Fees

£5 for one story, £7.50 for two


£100 (about $165) for the winner, £25 (about $40) for two runners up. Plus book tokens and book prizes. The best stories will be included in an anthology.


Stories on the theme of World War I are invited. Length: 1500 to 2500 words. Stories can written in any style, even fantasy, so long as the First World War is central to the narrative. The writers of the best stories will be offered the chance to have their work published in a WWI-themed anthology of fiction and poetry, to be released by UK publisher Accent Press to commemorate the WWI centenary.
