One (1) Grand Prize: $1,500 USD; a Professional Staged Reading at the 2021 Festival in New Orleans; a VIP Festival pass ($600 value) to the 2021 Festival; and Publication in Bayou Magazine.

Finalists receive: a panel pass ($100 value) to the 2021 Festival, and their names published on our website, social media pages, and in our e-newsletter.

Description

The 35th Annual Tennessee Williams & New Orleans Literary Festival is seeking submissions of original, unpublished One-Act plays for our 2020-2021 Writing Contest. This contest is open to U.S. and international submissions from emerging playwrights. Each blind entry should include one (1) One-Act play of up to 60 pages or 60 minutes in run-time, written in English, that has not been previously published, professionally produced, or performed. The winner will be selected by our judge, Peter Hagan, President of the Dramatists Play Service. For complete guidelines and submission details, please see our website.
