In commemorating Tennessee Williams’s 112th Birthday, the 2023 Birthday Celebration includes a short story contest that is open to everyone. Submitted short stories must be between 1,500 to 4,000 words and must not have been written before 2022. Submissions are limited to one short story per person.

There is no specific theme for the 2023 Short Story Competition; however, your short story must in some way reference Tennessee Williams.

Authors may choose to write a story referencing Williams, his family, one of his characters, or one of the actors/actresses who played a role in his plays or films.
