Description

Twist & Twain is hosting its 2nd short story contest open internationally to new and established writers aged 18 years or over. We are offering a cash prize of Rs. 25,000 for the 1st prize winner, Rs. 15,000 for the 2nd prize winner and Rs. 10,000 for the 3rd prize winner. There are no restrictions on setting, genre or theme. The story should not exceed the 4000-word limit. The jury who shall decide upon the winners comprises novelist and Hollywood script writer Ernest Brawley from the US, author and former bureaucrat Dhruba Hazarika from Guwahati (India), award-winning writer Breanne Mc Ivor from Trinidad & Tobago, award-winning writer Kaushik Barua based in Hanoi, Vietnam and currently working with the International Fund for Agricultural Development and another award-winning writer Kelly Eden from New Zealand. Twist & Twain Short Story Contest 2020-21


The winner of the 1st Twist & Twain short story contest was David Clemenceau from Germany for his story Muller’s Mosaico dealing with the current xenophobia trending in Germany against the hordes of migrant refugees fleeing their war-ravaged lands and entering Europe, only to be despised by the local populace.
