The Writing District Competition is a free to enter monthly short story competition. Prize includes $50 and publication online.
Competition Rules
o Open theme
o Eligibility: writers of any nationality or age, but entries must be in English
o One entry per person, per month.
o Free to enter
o Maximum 3,000 words
o This is an ongoing monthly competition. The closing date is the last date of every month.
o Entries should be submitted to [email protected]. Unfortunately, we don’t accept postal entries.
o All submissions should be the writer’s original work.
o The story may not be published elsewhere.
o Authors retain all rights to their work.
o The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence can be entered into.
o One winner will be selected every month. The winner will receive $50.
o The winning author will be offered the opportunity to publish their story on our online magazine.
o If you are under the age of 18, you must have the consent of a parent or guardian over 18 to enter the competition. The Writing District reserves the right to ask for proof of permission. Entries without permission will be disqualified.
