Nonfiction, Personal Journals, Poetry, Young Adult
If the submission is accepted, the applicant’s work will appear in the Young Memory Anthology, and they will also be granted the Young Memory Fellowship. This fellowship includes a grant of $100 to $200, and also comes with the opportunity to collaborate with other fellows and participate in a three-day virtual fellowship event.
Our Shared Memory believes in preserving the diverse experiences of humanity in a pandemic. We are primarily gathering commentary and personal reflections relevant to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic in the form of poems and prose. We are also accepting “profiles” — stories of personal leadership in response to COVID-19.
