Poesis Literary Magazine is an independent, international, free-access literary journal. Founded by Sanulis Vucilis (real name Silviu Craciunas) in the summer of 2018 it is an online journal, exclusively. We are dedicated to discovering and publishing the finest original poetry. We prefer expressive poems that give us a feeling and affect our soul. We are not interested in porn, racial slurs, excessive gore, or obscenity. We are looking for long and short poems, including translations. It’s like a desert where you can build your literary home. Because the acceptance rate for almost all literary journals is about 5%, we decide to open our house for quality work but without quantitative limitations. We publish quarterly, and we accept submissions year-round. The magazine accepts work via Submittable and a brief third-person bio (150-250 words) and the author’s email address are required. We accept simultaneous submissions. We accept texts that have already been published. Submissions are considered year-round, but do not send more work if we are still considering your previous submission. We attempt to respond to submissions within twelve weeks. Our three issues were published on 2018 (August, October and December) and includes 24 writers and 40 poems. They are available in full on our website. The magazine, once published, will be displayed on our website and will be free to access. Our goal is to make writing accessible; money should be no factor in one’s ability to access and submit writing. We expect to publish quarterly, but may increase publication frequency based on demand. We strive to be transparent and communicative; if there are any questions, please feel free to email us at [email protected]. All accepted work may be subject to small grammar and formatting edits. We will not make any major changes to ideas or concepts. We will send the writer the corrected piece and proceed forward to final publication only after the writer has approved the corrected version. There is no submission fee.
