Description
Founded in 2014 and located in central Maine, Ek’ Balam Press is a small, independent publisher specializing in high-quality Hispanic-based fiction by American and Hispanic authors. We feel the Hispanic world needs new venues to showcase the myriad of authors who wish to write about their Latino backgrounds. We accept contemporary as well as historical fiction and will publish other ethnic minority pieces as well as fiction by Maine authors.
For nonfiction, we are interested in topics that include cooking, writing, self-publishing, environmental issues, and living an off-the-grid, organic lifestyle. We will also look at memoirs and poetry collections, especially if they have a Hispanic slant. Please note that we do not publish manuscripts that contain excessive gore or violence or disrespect the opinions or views of others.
