About our instructor:
Kerrie Flanagan is an author, writing consultant, publisher and accomplished freelance writer with over 18 years’ experience. In addition to her own writing, she is passionate about helping other writers and has guided many toward their own success. Her work has appeared in publications such as The Writer, Writer’s Digest, Alaska Magazine, The Writer, FamilyFun, Chicago Tribune, SkyWest, the Children’s & Illustrator’s Market, and six Chicken Soup for the Soul books. For the past five years, her article, “How to Find Success in the Magazine World,” has been featured in the Writer’s Market. She is the author of eight books, all published under her label, Hot Chocolate Press and is currently working on a magazine writing guide for Writer’s Digest, set to be released in 2018. She is the founder and former director of Northern Colorado Writers and now does individual consulting with writers. Her background in teaching and enjoyment of helping writers, has led her to present at writing conferences across the country, including the Writer’s Digest Annual Conference in NYC, Writer’s Digest Novel Writing Conference in L.A., Willamette Writer’s Conference, Pikes Peak Writer’s Conference (2014), Write on the Sound, and the Northern Colorado Writer’s Conference.
