Cruising Writers Retreat

April 1-8, 2023.

Departing from Galveston, Texas, this eight-day retreat on a Carnival cruise ship features daylong port stops in Mexico, Grand Cayman, and Jamaica. Participants enjoy onboard meals and entertainment, networking opportunities with fellow writers, and one-on-one sessions with presenters. 

Presenters include Becca Syme – author of “Quitbooks for Writers” series – and author Kirsten Oliphant, who hosts the podcast Create If Writing. Writers will learn to identify their individual strengths and create a customized plan to reach self-identified creative writing and marketing goals. “With so many social media platforms, ad platforms, and so many opportunities for promotion, authors don’t need to squeeze themselves into a one-size-fits-all approach to marketing,” Oliphant says. “Learn how to apply your creativity to your own promotion without wasting tons of time or money on things that don’t work.”
