Create a color palette for all of the characters in your novel. Who leans more towards warm tones, and who prefers cool ones? Who dresses in rich jewel tones and who has a closet full of neutrals? Which characters paint their homes with bright colors and which leave the walls white? Look at the color palettes you’ve created: What do they tell you about your character? Are any too similar, or feel too out of place? Can you incorporate some of these color choices into your narrative to create a richer fictional world on the page?
